FBS-1000 : Micro-Biopsy System for biological specimens

FBS-1000 is a fully automated microdissection collection system for scientific research. FBS-1000 automates the sampling operations, significantly saves your time and effort. It takes only a few seconds to take one sample.

It can be configured on any inverted microscope. Simply set FBS-1000 on your microscope, place the sample, and while looking at the microscope image displayed on the computer screen, click and specify the part you want. FBS-1000 can collect many microdissections from various biological as well as medical specimens repeatedly and automatically over observing the microscope images. You will be able to take microdissections quickly and automatically from biological or medical specimens. The collected microdissections can be used for analyzing site-specific gene and protein expressions to understand the biological characteristics of the specimens.

The microdissection collection is time-consuming and labor-intensive work. For example, it takes nearly 84 hours to collect 1000 microdissections manually with a collection speed of one microdissection/5 minutes. While it takes only two and a half hours with FBS-1000. You can save a lot of time and labor!

FBS-1000 enables you to spend your time and effort analyzing the data, which teaches you gene as well as protein species expressed site specifically, to know tissue functions. It must be your primary work.

How It Works? Click the positions you want to collect microdissections on the microscope image displayed on your computer.
Push the start button. Then FBS-1000 automatically collects the microdissections to be recovered in 8-unit PCR tubes.
A hollow stainless steel punching needle comes down to cut a specimen placed on a sample dish. The punching needle has a coil spring inside, which avoids the damage of the needle tip due to its hitting on the sample dish. After reaching the dish surface, the needle spins for a short period of time to separate the microdissection from the specimen perfectly. The microdissection is recovered into a tube by pushing it with a buffer solution flow, which is also useful to clean up the punching needle tip. As the needle tip can be cleaned up automatically each time, the repetitive collection of microdissections can be carried out in a short period of time. The maximum number of microdissections being collected at a time is 24.
Punching Needle Includes 5 hollow stainless steel punching needles. The typical inner diameter of a punching needle is 0.12mm.
※ You can also choose the needles of 0.07㎜, 0.18㎜ inner diameter if you want. Please ask if you need a particular inner diameter.

FBS-01 : For laser microscope with microscope stage, Micro-Biopsy System for biological specimens compatible

FBS-01 is a micro-biopsy system for biological specimens compatible with laser microscope WITH microscope stage. The basic specifications are the same as FBS-1000.
If you use a laser microscope that has a microscope stage, select FBS-01. If you use a laser microscope that does not have a microscope stage, select FBS-03.

How It Works? Move manually the specimen tray so as to place the target position in a specimen at the marker position in a microscope image on a computer. As a hollow stainless steel punching needle comes down at the marker position, you can collect microdissection by pushing the start button.
SamplingMate uses a hollow stainless steel punching needle. A hollow stainless steel punching needle coupled with a coil spring comes down to cut a specimen placed on a sample dish. After reaching the dish surface, the needle spins for a short period to separate the microdissection from the specimen perfectly. The microdissection is recovered into a tube by pushing it with a buffer solution flow, which is also useful to clean up the punching needle tip. By determining the initial collecting position, the number of collecting microdissections, and the collecting interval, it can collect microdissections up to 8 along the X-axis automatically. You can select the interval from 0.05mm to 0.9mm. As the needle tip can be cleaned up automatically each time, the repetitive collection of microdissections can be carried out in a short period.
